Jams for the Old City
The band was as hot as the weather that day at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre - and believe me, that's saying something. This was a fantastic show, one of the better ones from this tour, and it was wonderful to have been a part of it. The jams rolled along mightily; highlights include a sudden and powerful segue from Understood into St. Augustine, which of course sent the crowd into overdrive, and an electrifying Rebubula that got everybody on their feet. Good of moe. and Ratdog to come out to our little corner of Florida! I hope to see them again soon. This performance even gave Bobby and the gang a run for their money, but that's another story.
I brought my 12-year-old brother to this, his first show. Afterword, he described it as one of the best nights of his life. We were exhausted and deaf from dancing in the pit, but now that it's over we both miss it. Such is the power of good music - it defies age and leaves us with something greater than ourselves.
This recording is pretty rough, but it gives a good sense of how into it the crowd was that afternoon, which is worth it.

A really fun show
This was the second time I've seen Moe, the first being at Wanee 2008 (which I've been told wasn't their greatest performance). I was actually at the show to see Ratdog, but Moe's set had so many high points, I was blown away before Bob even hit the stage. It's really good to be able to listen back to a few of these moments, thanks Marcus! Now if only we could get Bob's set from that night up on here as well...

Another one for the collection
Thanks for the taping. I am so glad these moe-dog shows are up for download. I find this few show stretch to be very intresting. As for your friend I would of just smiled if I was asked that. I doubt moe was simply just the opener, but rather co-headling with ratdog.
